- Honda releases a new teaser image
- Reveals Activa 6G’s upcoming Premium version
- Gets cosmetic add-ons
Honda has been teasing one of the upcoming iterations of its best-selling product, the Activa, for a few days. Initially, it was thought to be the next-generation 7G model of the Activa 6G with a host of updates. However, the latest teaser of the scooter reveals that it will just be the Premium version of the existing Activa 6G.
As can be deciphered from the teaser, this will mainly be a visually fancier trim of the scooter. Elements that are clearly visible in the latest teaser are golden embellishments on the front apron, golden ‘Activa’ and ‘Premium’ badges on the side panel, dual-tone mirrors, and a dual-tone seat. The previous teaser had also revealed that it will be available in a new matte green paint scheme, apart from other new colour options.
Now, it remains to be seen if Honda equips the Premium with additional features. The existing ones include an external fuel filler cap, an engine start-stop switch, a silent starter, a 5.3-litre fuel tank, and a dual-function switch that opens the seat and external fuel lid. The hardware package of the Premium trim will most likely remain the same as the standard model. It rides on a 12-10-inch wheel combination with telescopic forks and a monoshock and a drum brake at both ends. Powering the scooter is a 7.68bhp, 109.5cc engine that’s mated to a CVT gearbox.
The Honda Activa 6G’s more expensive Deluxe trim is priced at Rs 74,400 (ex-showroom) and the upcoming Premium version will certainly be a little more expensive.
