- Honda introduces a new colour option
- Gets keyless functionality now
Honda recently updated its best-selling two-wheeler, the Activa 6G, with some interesting features in India. This edition is called the Smart Key and is available in a total of six colour options. While five of these were already available, the one which is newly introduced is Pearl Siren Blue paint scheme. The colour palette also includes Decent Blue Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Black, Pearl Precious White, and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
The most notable update received by the Activa 6G is keyless functionality comprising a key fob which allows locking/unlocking the vehicle, accessing the boot, and opening the fuel lid. Furthermore, this variant is also more secure with the inclusion of an anti-theft system and vehicle location tracking feature. Honda has also added a new engine start/stop switch.
Mechanically, the Activa 6G Smart Key remains the same as other variants of the scooter. It continues to be powered by a 109.51cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 7.68bhp and 8.84Nm. It rides on a 12-10-inch wheel combination that is suspended by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Stopping power, meanwhile, comes from a drum brake at both ends while a disc brake is not available even as an option.
With the introduction of the new Smart Key iteration, the Honda Activa 6G is available in three variants with prices starting from Rs 74,536 (ex-showroom).
