Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the launch of the Activa 6G Smart Key variant that benefits from keyless operations. This new variant of the scooter has been priced at Rs 80,537 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this, the Activa range is available in three variants – Standard, Deluxe, and Smart Key with alloys.
This smart key enables full keyless operations on the scooter. Thus, the rider can perform various functions such as handlebar lock/unlock, access under-seat storage, and open the fuel lid without removing the physical key from the pocket. It can also be used to locate the scooter in the parking. Further, the scooter also benefits from an anti-theft function, thus enhancing the security of the vehicle. A knob-style switch located on the scooter can be used to access the aforementioned functions. It also gets a new design for the alloy wheels.
Meanwhile, the styling and mechanical specifications remain unaltered. Thus, this variant of the Activa continues to use the BS6-compliant 109.51cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. Other features retained from the standard variant include a silent start system and a combined braking system. It will also retain hardware such as telescopic front forks, a single-rear spring, and drum brakes on both wheels.
The Honda Activa 6G Smart Key variant will start arriving at dealerships by the end of January 2023.
