- Deliveries in Bengaluru to commence from February 2025
- Battery swapping stations to start from April in Mumbai and Delhi
- Activa e: prices to be announced in January 2025
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India recently unveiled two of its electric scooters - Activa e: and the QC 1. While prices for both models will be announced in January, the deliveries for the QC 1 will begin in February throughout India.
On the other hand, the Activa e: will be delivered in a phased manner. Honda will first bring the Activa e: to Bengaluru in February and then to Mumbai and Delhi in April 2025. This is a result of the brand’s strategy for establishing battery-swapping stations.
The QC 1 is the entry ticket for Honda’s electric two-wheeler lineup whereas the Activa e: sits above it. The QC 1 gets a 1.5kWh fixed battery pack that offers an 80km range. It is linked to a BLDC motor that offers a top speed of 50kmph. The QC1 can be fully charged in four hours and 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the Activa e: uses two 1.5kWh swappable battery units that offer it a range of 102km. These are linked to a 6kW motor that offers 80kmph top speed.
Honda offers both, the QC 1 and the Activa e: in five paint schemes. These are the Japanese brand’s first of many electric two-wheelers for the Indian market and rival brands like Ola, Ather, TVS, and Vida.
