-Charging socket located near the footboard
-Gets swappable batteries as well
-Unveil on 27 November
The string of social media teasers about the new Honda Activa electric scooter has revealed quite a few details and the latest video shows its compact charger. One can see the charging port, located close to the footboard and the plug-and-play type charger. The charging socket appears similar to what we’ve seen on TVS iQube.
While the Honda Activa electric has a conventional charging port, it also has two removable batteries. This adds a whole layer of convenience to the ownership aspect of the scooter. Besides this, the Activa Electric will also get a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity in the top-spec model.
The Honda Activa Electric is set to be the company’s biggest launch in India in a long time. While the Japanese manufacturer has sold electric scooters in international markets, this will be their first foray into India’s growing electric two-wheeler market. The scooter will go up against the TVS iQube, Vida V1, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta and Ola S1 range.
