-Gets new LED headlight
-To be unveiled on 27 November
The Honda Activa Electric is all set to be showcased soon and the company has begun rolling out teasers on social media platforms. The teaser showcases the bar-type LED headlight of the new Honda electric scooter. It appears to be mounted on the front apron.
The new Honda Activa Electric will be the Japanese manufacturer’s first EV for India. It has been a long time coming but it is finally going to be introduced in the market. We expect Honda to offer the scooter with a lot of features and tech.
Word is that the electric scooter will have the performance of the Honda Activa 110. This is in line with the positioning of the scooter as a family, urban runabout. As for the range, we expect it to be in the same ball park of the competition which manages about 100km in a single charge.
As for features, expect a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity, LED lights and more.
Expect the frame to be designed in a way that space is optimised to include the battery and motor. The scooter should have a telescopic fork at the front and monoshock at the rear. Braking should be taken care of by a disc brake at the front and drum at the rear.
Expect the Activa Electric to be priced at par with competition like the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta and the Bajaj Chetak.
