The teasers for the Honda Activa Electric have been rolling on social media and the new teaser reveals an important detail about the scooter. The Honda Activa Electric will get removable batteries and yes there are two batteries visible under the seat.
Honda has had removable batteries in its other electric scooters in international markets and there was a possibility that they’ll employ the same technology in the Activa Electric. The teaser video shows the batteries being taken out of a charging dock from a swappable battery station. It is then inserted into the scooter where there is another battery already placed.
Removable batteries add a whole lot of convenience to electric scooter ownership. It allows one the flexibility to remove the battery and charge it either at a specific Honda battery swapping station or at home and the office.
The battery specifications and other details about the Activa Electric will be revealed on 27 November when it launched.
