Our country’s favourite scooter, the Honda Activa 3G is now available on the spot. Gone are the days for paying an additional fee to receive the scooter earlier than promised. Most metropolitan cities - except Mumbai - now have the Activa available for immediate delivery in every colour option.
A little over a month ago Honda inaugurated the second assembly line of its fourth manufacturing plant at Vithalapur (Mandal taluk, Ahmedabad district) in Gujarat. This plant added an additional six lakh units annual production capacity which meant the fourth plant’s total capacity reached 1.2 million units annually. The second assembly line inaugurated an exclusive scooter assembly line to produce India’s largest selling two-wheeler Activa. This expansion increased HMSI’s total annual production capacity to 5.8 million units, including 1.6 million units at first plant (Haryana), 1.2 million units at second plant (Rajasthan), 1.8 million units at third plant (Karnataka) and another 1.2 million units at the fourth plant (Gujarat).
Honda two-wheeler dealerships in Mumbai have a waiting period between seven and 10 days which isn’t so bad considering the earlier period was over 30 days. However, dealerships across states like Bangalore, Kerala and Delhi are providing immediate delivery of the Honda Activa 3G.
