- Africa Twin gets Android Auto
- Apple CarPlay was already available
- Likely to launch in India soon
Honda has decided to upgrade its famous adventure bike, the Africa Twin with Android Auto. This software system can be used through the bike’s 6.5 inch TFT touchscreen system.
The Africa Twin was already equipped with Apple’s CarPlay system. But now with Android Auto, the brand will be able to reach out to many more Android smartphone users. Through Android Auto, riders will now be able to access various apps like weather, telephone contacts, music playlists and more features that is usually supported on a smartphone.
Currently, the Indian arm of the Japanese brand offers Africa Twin in both, manual and DCT option. And both these variants are equipped with 6.5-inch touchscreen that is loaded with Apple CarPlay. So we can expect the brand to introduce Android Auto in Indian bikes soon after its global debut. India has more Google Android customers than Apple’s iOS. So it make sense for Honda to bring in these new systems to India.
