Honda took the wraps off the new Africa Twin CRF1100L recently. It gets a host of cosmetic, mechanical and electronic changes. Here is a detailed image gallery of the updated Africa Twin for you to ogle at.
The most prominent visual change Honda has done to the bike is the front end. It gets a pair of redesigned full-LED headlamps with LED DRLs.
Moreover, the Africa Twin’s bodywork has also gotten more aggressive with sharp lines all over. The tail section has become sleeker and the upswept exhaust, stubbier.
Honda is offering the adventure touring motorcycle in two variants- standard and Adventure Sports with the option of either a manual or DCT gearbox.
The biggest mechanical upgrade comes in the form of the new 1048cc, parallel-twin engine that produces102bhp and 105Nm; a considerable increase from the 2019 model.
And while the Africa Twin benefits from a bigger engine, Honda has also reduced the weight of the motorcycle. It gets a revised frame, an aluminum subframe, and a lighter swingarm along with lighter engine a gearbox construction.
The bike’s electronics package now includes wheelie control, cornering ABS, rear-lift control, cruise control, and cornering lights. It also features a new 6.5-inch TFT touch screen display with the Apple CarPlay function.
While the Africa Twin CRF1100L is already available in international markets, we can expect Honda to introduce the bike here sometime early next year.
