- New Honda NT1100 in the making
- Will borrow motor from Africa Twin 1100
- Unveil likely to happen this year
Honda is working on new big tourer that is likely to be unveiled later this year. This motorcycle is rumoured to be built around Africa Twin’s 1100cc parallel-twin engine.
The company recently filed for a new trademark application to use the brand ‘NT1100’. This makes us believe that the motorcycle is production ready and the marketing activities are likely to begin in the next few months.
As of now, there’s very little information on this upcoming Honda bike, but we can expect the Japanese brand to use some of the design traits from the CB1000X concept that was showcased a few years ago. This sports tourer could sit between the Rebel 1100 and the Africa Twin 1100, making it a tempting proposition for riders who wants a mix of cruising and sports touring.
We can expect the NT1100 to come with both manual as well as DCT transmission. In terms of power output, it should be similar to that of the Africa Twin but we should wait for the official unveil to happen.
