Honda India is aiming to sell around 26,000 units of its recently launched 150cc motorcycle, the CB Trigger in Southern states of India. The company experienced an increase of total sales of 150cc motorcycles in these states in last few months because of which they are focusing more in these regions.
The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer is planning to sell 80,000 CB Trigger across the country this fiscal year. In Kerala alone, Honda is aiming to sell 7000 CB Trigger’s; Honda India holds the number one position in Kerala and contributes 30 per cent of the total two-wheeler sales.
The company’s manufacturing facility in Bangalore currently has production capacity of 12 lakh units a year but will be increased to 18 lakh units a year by the end of this financial year that will take their total annual capacity to 46 lakh units per year.
Honda is going very aggressive with its growth plans in India where they have pledged to launch one product every quarter with latest one being their most affordable scooter in India, the Activa-i.
