Honda India is now associated with Tour de India (TDI) 2013. Arranged by ID Sports, TDI is the biggest cycling race in the country and is scheduled to be held in Mumbai, Jaipur and Delhi on December 15, 17 and 22 this year. The Honda CBR 250R will be the official lead bike for the races arranged by the organisation.
The CBR 250R has been a great success in the Indian market and is enjoying a good demand amongst Honda fans and enthusiasts. The motorcycle was launched in India into the entry-level performance segment and is suitable for both city traffic and touring conditions.
Tour de India, India’s first and one of the largest International cycling events, aims to promote cycling as a sport in India. It intends to inspire the present and forthcoming generations to start cycling. Bollywood actor and motorcycle enthusiast, John Abraham, has also been roped in as the brand ambassador of Tour de India and he will be helping in promoting the events organised by ID Sports for the coming three years.
Y. S. Guleria, Vice President of Sales and Marketing said, “We are proud to be associated with an initiative like Tour De India. It will connect with the youth and motivate them to adopt cycling as a part of their regular sporting culture. Honda CBR250R is one of India’s favourite and most awarded sports bikes and it would complement the young racing enthusiasts participating in Tour de India 2013.”
