Honda has announced the prices of the 2013 CB500X, CB500F, CBR500R, and CBR600RR at Motorcycle Live in Birmingham. This new Honda range of motorcycles was unveiled at the 2012 EICMA event held at Milan, Italy few days ago.
The Honda CB500X and the CBR500R have both been priced at £4,950 (Rs 4.40 lakhs INR), whereas the CB500F has been priced at £4,650 (Rs 4.14 lakhs INR). Interestingly, CB500X and CBR500 are priced lower than the Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS by £249 (Rs 22,000 INR), which might take away some of Kawasaki sales. The CBR600RR has been priced at £9,500 (Rs 8.45 lakhs INR), while the new CB1100 has a price tag of £8,950 (Rs 7.9 lakhs INR). The prices of the NS300 Forza scooter and the Gold Wing F6B have not been announced as yet.
Honda currently is the only manufacturer who offers motorcycles in 500cc segment. With such new models in line up at this price, we are sure Honda will see some drastic increase in their sales. Honda might launch some of these models in India by early next year as CKD units, as there is no motorcycle in the 500c segment in India.
