Capitalizing on the growing popularity of the premium commuter, Honda has launched a special edition version of the CB Hornet 160R. Priced at Rs 81,413 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the special edition version is available in two unique paint schemes and can be bought both with and without CBS.
The special edition CB Hornet 160R is offered in two striking liveries – striking green and mars orange. With the wheels, engine, frame, bikini fairing, exhaust and grab rails getting a matte black treatment, the decals on the special edition models contrast beautifully with the rest of the bike. For those who prefer a sober looking motorcycle, the Honda CB Hornet 160R is also available in five monotone colours – black, silver, white, blue and orange. Customers can also opt for an optional decals package for the CB Hornet 160R, similar to the one which is available for the Livo.
Mechanically, the special edition CB Hornet 160R is identical to the standard bike. Powering the bike is a 162cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine developing 15.6bhp and 14.7Nm of torque. Honda had also launched a new scheme for CB Hornet 160R, under which students are eligible to get up to Rs 5,000 off on the motorcycle. The CB Hornet 160R rivals other premium commuters like the Yamaha FZ-S, Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and the Suzuki Gixxer.
