Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has now equipped the drum variants of the CB Shine and CB Shine SP with a combined braking system. The CB Shine Drum CBS is priced at Rs 60,013 while the CB Shine SP Drum CBS is priced at Rs 65,269. (all prices ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Apart from the safety feature, the CB Shine and CB Shine SP remain the same. The CB Shine is Honda's best selling motorcycle in India and gets conventional commuter motorcycle styling. The CB Shine SP, on the other hand, is a more premium and sportier-looking iteration of the former.
Both bikes are powered by the same 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that puts out a modest 10.1bhp and 10.3Nm of torque. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin shocks at the rear. Braking on the bikes are handled either by a 130mm drum or 240mm disc and a 130mm drum at the rear along with CBS. While Honda also sells the non-CBS equipped versions, these will be pulled off the shelves by April, this year.
