Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is supposed to launch a new motorcycle that was teased at REVFEST on November 19 and according to reports, it may be the Honda CB Shine SP. Honda Shine has been generating large volumes for HMSI and is the largest selling 125cc motorcycle across the globe.
The Shine SP gets a redesigned headlamp, new graphics on the fuel tank, fuel tank extensions, a two tone paint scheme for the side panel and a new tail lamp. The SP also gets a new set of five-spoke alloy wheels. The Shine SP will be powered by the same 125cc single cylinder HET petrol engine that develops 10bhp of power at 7500rpm and 11Nm of torque at 5500rpm. Based on the current CB Shine, it will be interesting to see if Honda continues selling the current CB Shine along with the SP to keep ringing in the volumes.
The Honda Shine SP will compete with the Yamaha Saluto, the Bajaj Discover 125 and the Hero Super Splendor and is expected to be priced at Rs 65,000, ex-showroom Delhi.
