Facelifted version of the Honda CB Trigger has been spied recently at their Gurgaon facility. The spied motorcycle was covered with cheap duct tape to hide the changes that the motorcycle is expected to get.
But knowing Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, we are expecting the CB Trigger to only get minor cosmetic changes. The bike in the picture is seen with duct tape on parts that are most likely to get updated. Other than the new colour that is seen on this bike, we can expect re-designed panels across the bike. Mechanically, there won’t be any change and will continue to be powered by the 149cc single-cylinder engine that produces 14.35bhp at 8,500rpm and maximum torque of 12.50Nm at 6,500rpm.
Honda India has failed to crack the 150cc commuter motorcycle segment. The failure first started with the CB Unicorn Dazzler, which was later followed by the CB Trigger. Few months ago, it also launched the CB Unicorn 160 to take on the Suzuki Gixxer and the Bajaj Pulsar, however, the performance of the bike has been disappointing. Only the Unicorn 150 was able to do more than decent sales in the Indian two-wheeler market. We are expecting the Japanese manufacturer to silently launch the updated CB Trigger in the next few weeks at the same price.
