Honda India has equipped the CB Unicorn 160 with automatic headlight on (AHO) feature. This feature will be a must for all new two-wheelers when the regulation kicks in on April 2017.
This feature has been present in European motorcycles for a while now, thanks to the legislation. Vehicles with AHO are more visible to car drivers, thus making the motorcycles less prone to accidents. The CB Unicorn 160 is the first Honda bike that is manufactured in India to get the AHO feature. Other bikes that gets this feature are the Splendor iSmart 110, the KTM RC390 and the RC200.
The engine on the CB Unicorn 160 is now BS-IV compliant but there is a drop in power by 0.7bhp and 0.7Nm drop in torque. The updated CB Unicorn 160 gets a longer visor and a new matte marvel blue paint scheme. All these introductions have resulted into a price increase of Rs 1,700 and now the bike costs Rs 73,552 (ex-showroom Delhi).
