The Honda CB Unicorn 160 was launched in December 2014. This motorcycle from Honda has maintained an average sales figure of 13,000 units a month through 2015. However, in the beginning of 2016, the sales figures for the Unicorn 160 took a drastic turn and the motorcycle company saw very low sales figures until last month.
Talking about the drastic turn the sales for the motorcycle took, it sold just 52 units in January 2016. Which increased to 1,607 in February and further went on to increase to 2,590 in March. However, April has proved to be the month to put Honda back on track with the CB Unicorn 160 with the sales of 7866 units. This puts it right beside its older sibling, the CB Unicorn 150 which sold 8,061 units in April 2016.
The CB Unicorn 160 is powered by a 163cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 14.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 14.61Nm of torque at 6,000rpm, mated to a five-speed gearbox. The 135kg motorcycle is based on a diamond frame, and is equipped with a telescopic fork, spring loaded hydraulic monoshock. It is available in two variants – standard and CBS (Combi-Brake System).
