- Honda CB200X priced at Rs 1.44 lakh
- Deliveries commence across India
- Based on Hornet 2.0
Honda has commenced deliveries of the CB200X across India. The motorcycle was launched in India last month with a price tag of Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
Now, the CB200X is based on the Hornet 2.0 although with a styling that is inspired by the CB500X. So it gets half-fairing with faux air vents and full-LED lighting. There also is the tall, tinted windscreen and a raised handlebar as well an engine sump guard and upswept exhaust. Now the suspension hardware is the same as the one on the Hornet 2.0 with inverted forks and a monoshock. Even the braking hardware is the same with a 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear along with single-channel ABS. The only difference is tyres. The Honda CB200X’s 17-inch wheels are wrapped in block-pattern tyres unlike the road-biased tyres on the Hornet 2.0.
The Honda CB200X is powered by a 184cc, single-cylinder motor that it shares with the Hornet 2.0. This motor is capable of producing 17.03bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm and it comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. As for competition, the Honda CB200X does not have any direct rivals but it goes up against the Hero Xpulse 200.
