- 2023 CB300F launched at Rs 1.70 lakh, ex-showroom
- Remains unchanged mechanically
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the 2023 version of the CB300F street bike with a price tag of Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom). That makes it around Rs. 56,000 cheaper than before; the motorcycle was pegged at Rs. 2.26 lakh for the Deluxe and Rs. 2.29 lakh for the Deluxe pro variants.
While the company is yet to release a clarification on the reason for this price cut, this has certainly been done to boost the sales of the motorcycle. Notably, the company had announced a massive discount of Rs 50,000 on the CB300F in December last year as a limited-period, year-end discount. With the new price, however, it is even cheaper than the discounted price.
The new iteration of the Honda CB300F is now OBD-II A complaint which essentially is the second phase of BS6 emission norms. This hasn’t brought along any changes in the performance of the motorcycle. It continues to be powered by a 293.52cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 24.13bhp and 25.6Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by upside-down forks up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
The sharp and aggressive design of the bike has also remained unchanged. It boasts a sporty stance comprising angular bodywork along with golden front forks that elevate its visual appeal. Further, the CB300F is also decently equipped with modern features like traction control, dual-channel ABS, and an assist and slipper clutch. Plus, the lighting system is full-LED and the digital console offers five levels of brightness customisation and connectivity.
