Honda has launched the CB300R in the United Kingdom with a price tag of EUR 4,429 (Rs 3.52 lakhs).
The street fighter was unveiled globally last year and borrows its neo-retro styling from its bigger sibling, the CB1000R. The CB300R gets LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp along with an LCD instrument cluster. Powering the bike is a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces 31bhp at 8500rpm and 27.5Nm of torque at 7500rpm and is mated to a six-speed transmission.
The Honda CB300R has a kerb weight of 146kg and rides on 41mm upside down forks at the front and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. While braking is taken care of by single disc brakes at the front and back; the CB300R also sports an IMU with cornering ABS. This feature is mostly found on higher powered motorcycles which helps in brake force distribution.
The bike will be available in UK dealerships from next month. The bike is unlikely to be sold in India anytime soon. However with the entry of the BMW G310R next month, the arrival of the Honda CB300R in the country would be interesting.
