Honda has revised the prices of its recently launched street bike offering, the CB300R. The motorcycle has received a minor price hike of Rs 989 and now retails at Rs 2,41,989 (ex-showroom). The CB300R was introduced in February and was priced at Rs 2.41 lakhs at the time of launch.
Besides the price hike, the motorcycle remains the same. The CB300R sports Honda’s new Neo Sports Café design language that can also be seen on the litre-class CB1000R+ model. It features a circular headlamp with a brushed silver bezel and comprising of an all-LED headlamp. It also gets LED turn indicators, wide handlebar and a sculpted fuel tank. The brushed silver look is further enhanced with the presence of similarly finished radiator shrouds that cover the radiator. Furthermore, the motorcycle features a split-seat design and a minimalistic looking tail section.
Powering the CB300R a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill that pumps out 30bhp of power and 27.4Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Damping duties are handled by 41mm Showa inverted forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. For braking, the motorcycle employs a 296mm disc with a radial four-pot caliper at the front and a 220mm disc with single-piston caliper at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.
The CB300R had received a good initial response following its launch but it fizzled out in the following months. In terms of competition, the street bike rivals against the BMW G310R and the KTM 390 Duke in the market.
