Honda is starting their 2019 with a big launch, the CB300R. This modern - retro motorcycle will make its India debut on 8 February. But the bike has been spotted in India for the first time.
It looks like the pictures of this upcoming Honda have been clicked during a commercial shoot. The spotted bikes are running registered number plates. The bookings for the CB300R has already begun, but unfortunately it will be sold through only Wingworld dealerships which are quite limited.
The CB300R is basically a smaller version of the litre-class CB1000R+ that was recently launched by the company. The motorcycle features a classic retro round headlamp with modern LED lamps. The fuel tank is well-sculpted and is further accentuated by the brush alloy radiator shrouds. The motorcycle features an all-digital LCD instrument console displaying all the important information to the rider.
It rides rides on a set of 17-inch wheels which are suspended by 41mm inverted fork up front and a monoshock with adjustment at the back. For braking, the CB300R employs 296mm petal disc with a radial four-pot caliper for the front and a 220mm disc with a single-piston caliper for the rear. Powering the streetbike is a 286cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is rated to produce 31bhp and 27.5Nm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
Once launched, the Honda CB300R will go against the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G310R. The Japanese maker has confirmed an ex showroom price below Rs 2.5 lakhs. But our expectations revolves around Rs 2.3 lakhs mark.
