- Honda CB350RS deliveries begin
- Demands a premium Rs 4,000 over the Hness CB350
- Available only in Honda's Big Wing dealerships
Honda has commenced the deliveries of the CB350RS in India. The motorcycle was officially launched on 16 February. It has been priced at Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom) that makes Rs 4,000 more expensive than the Hness CB350. Both bikes are sold via Honda's premium Big Wing dealerships only.
The Honda CB350RS is a fancier and sportier-looking version of the Hness CB350. What sets the former apart is the blacked-out treatment on various body panels and differently-styled tail section, seat and side panels. The RS also gets an engine bash plate. The red and black-yellow colour schemes are also different than those available for the Hness.
For a sportier riding experience, Honda has also marginally tweaked the placement of the handlebar and footpegs of the RS. Moreover, it rides on a smaller 17-inch rear wheel, as opposed to the 18-inch unit in the Hness. But the 19-inch front remains common.
Apart from the aforementioned changes, both the CBs remain identical in all respects. Powering the bikes is a 348cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which churns out 20.7bhp and 30Nm. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers while braking is handled by a disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS being available as standard. For an added safety, both bikes also incorporate the Honda Selectable Torque Control system.
Although the CB350RS doesn't have any direct competition, the Honda Hness CB350 competes against the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa Standard and the Benelli Imperiale 400.
