- Honda CB500X offered in two colours
- Is priced at Rs 6.87 lakh
- Powered by a 471cc, parallel-twin engine
Honda recently launched the CB500X in India; the first of its CB500 range. And the manufacturer is offering the motorcycle in a choice of two colour options.
First up is the Grand Prix Red colour option that includes Honda’s signature red shade on nearly half of the CB500X’s front end. This paint scheme also comes with an aluminum finish to the tank shrouds and side panels. The other colour called Gunpowder Black lives up to its name and features an all-black paint scheme. Even the silver aluminum parts on the other paint option are done in a gunpowder finish here.
Powering the Honda CB500X is a 471cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 47bhp at 8,500rpm and 43.2Nm at 6,500rpm. The motor comes linked to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from an assist and a slipper clutch. Moving forward, the list of electronics include a dual-channel ABS, ESS, and Honda Ignition Security System. The Honda CB500X rides on a 19/17 wheel combo that is shod with dual-pattern tyres. While suspension duties are done by telescopic forks and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock, braking hardware comprises a 310mm front disc and 240mm rear disc.
Now, Honda has priced the CB500X at Rs 6.87 lakh, ex-showroom. This makes it only slightly more affordable than the much more powerful Kawasaki Versys 650. Besides that, it also competes against the recently launched Benelli TRK 502.
