Honda CB500X has started arriving at dealerships across the country. The adventure tourer comes via the CKD route and is sold through the company's exclusive BigWing dealerships. The deliveries might commence in a phase-wise manner, taking into account the rules and regulations owing to the current situation in the country.
The adventure tourer comes with features like all LED lights and a negative-display LCD dash. It is also equipped with safety and security features like dual-channel ABS, slipper clutch and Honda Ignition Security System.
Powering the bike is a 471.03cc parallel-twin engine, which churns out 46.9bhp of power at 8500rpm and 43.2Nm of torque at 6500rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission. The bike is underpinned by a steel tube type frame and the suspension duty is handled by telescopic forks at the front and Honda ProLINK mono-shock at the rear. For effective braking, it employs a 310mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
The bike is only available with a Standard variant which is priced at Rs 6,87,402, ex-showroom, Mumbai. There are two colours on offer, Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic and Grand Prix Red. It competes against the Kawasaki Versys 650 and Benelli TRK 502 in the Indian market.
