Honda has launched the new CB650R in India, priced at Rs. 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike has been launched alongside the Honda CBR650R, which is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The CB650R features a neo-sports-cafe design philosophy. Although the overall stance resembles the older model, the bike gets a different headlamp and a sharper tail section. Honda has equipped the CB650R with a new five-inch colour TFT display that supports Bluetooth connectivity. It is compatible with the Honda RoadSync app.
Powering the new CB650R is a 649cc, inline-four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 94bhp at 12,000rpm and a peak torque of 63Nm at 9,500rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch.
It is underpinned by a steel diamond frame, suspended by Showa SFF USD forks up front, and a 10-step preload-adjustable monoshock. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends while it drops anchors with the help of twin discs at the front and a single disc at the back.
Bookings for the new Honda CB650R are open at the Honda BigWing dealerships nationwide. Buyers can also make online bookings on the official BigWing website. Meanwhile, deliveries will commence from February 2025.
