- Gets cosmetic updates in the form of Repsol livery
- Retains the mechanical and feature bits from the standard bike
- India launch unlikely anytime soon
Honda has unveiled the 2022 CBR150R Repsol Edition in Malaysia. The bike gets cosmetic changes over the base model and here’s what it offers.
The Honda CBR150R features a sharp design and the overall bodywork is fairly suitable for a racetrack. It gets split LED headlights topped by an aerodynamic windscreen. The turn indicators and the taillight too get LED setup, thereby giving the bike a more premium appeal. Amping up its visual quotient is the orange and white paint scheme with red highlights.
Honda has powered the CBR150R with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The setup belts out 16bhp and 13.7Nm. Considering the bike only weighs about 139kg, the power-to-weight ratio could produce a spirited performance. On the feature front, the CBR150R dual-channel ABS, a fully digital instrument console and a slipper clutch.
The Honda CBR150R rides on USD front forks draped in orange colour and a linked monoshock at the rear. Its braking hardware comprises front and rear petal discs (for better dissipation) with dual-channel ABS. The braking setup is mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 100/80 front and a 130/70 rear tyre.
Honda is unlikely to bring the bike to India anytime soon. So, the only option you are left with for a 150cc supersports is the YamahaR15 V4, Suzuki Gixxer SF.
