Honda has finally announced the price of the CBR300R for the UK market. There will be only one version available that has been priced at £4,299 (Rs 4.4 lakh). Antilock-braking system (ABS) is standard.
The 2014 Honda CBR300R gets a 286cc single cylinder liquid cooled fuel injected engine that churns out 30.4bhp at 8500rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 7250rpm. The Japanese manufacturer has worked quite hard to reduce the weight of the motorcycle by around 6.8kg. This will make an impressive power to weight ratio that will directly help the overall performance.
The Honda CBR300R churns out 9bhp less than its Japanese rival, the Kawasaki Ninja 300. But in terms of price, the CBR300R is cheaper by Rs 93,000 in the UK market. Bookings for the motorcycle will begin from August 3, and one has an option to choose from three colours – millennium red, metallic black and Honda racing colours.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has still not officially revealed any details on the CBR300R India launch, but we expect the bike to make its way to Indian showrooms in the latter half of this year.
