Honda recently introduced the BS6-compliant version of the CD 110 Dream in India. The commuter motorcycle has received a couple of changes, besides getting a cleaner powerplant. In that case, we bring you a detailed report about what all is new in the BS6 CD 110 Dream.
Refreshed Styling
Although the motorcycle retains the same silhouette of the older model, there are subtle changes which keep it fresh. Certain body panels have been restyled which includes the front fender, headlamp cowl, fuel tank, under seat panel and tail section. New set of decals complete the aesthetic changes of the bike. Interestingly, the motorcycle has also become comfier as Honda claims it gets a longer single-piece seat.
New features
In order to justify the price hike over its BS4 version, Honda has integrated a couple of new features which we have seen in other BS6 models from the brand. These features are an ACG starter for silent engine firing up function, engine start/stop switch, integrated headlamp beam and pass switch along with a DC headlamp for better illumination.
BS6 engine
The CD 110 Dream is powered by a 109.51cc, air-cooled engine with fuel-injection in place of the previous carburetor. While this alteration makes the emissions more constrained, Honda claims it has also helped in improving the fuel efficiency. The power figures stand at 8.6bhp and 9.30Nm and it continues to be mated to a four-speed gearbox.
Increased price
The Honda CD 110 Dream BS6 is available in Standard and Deluxe variants which cost Rs 64,505 and Rs 65,505 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That makes the bike around Rs 14,000 more expensive than the previous BS4 model. In what is claimed to be an industry-first benefit, Honda is giving a six-year warranty package with the CD 110 for a limited period.
