Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have updated their product portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant CD 110 Dream. The commuter motorcycle has been priced at Rs 62,729, which is about Rs 14,000 more than the discontinued, BS4 version. Here we list the alternatives that you can consider in a similar price range.
Hero Passion Pro 110: Rs 65,740
For a premium of about Rs 3,000, buyers can get Hero MotoCorp’s 110cc commuter motorcycle, the Passion Pro 110. The Passion Pro 110 is available in two options – drum and disc. The drum brake version is available for Rs 65,740 while the disc brake model is priced at Rs 67,970. The BS6-compliant 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine on the Passion Pro 110 makes 8.9bhp of peak power at 7,500rpm and 9.79Nm of maximum torque at 5,000rpm.
Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear: Rs 60,550
Bajaj Auto’s 110cc commuter motorcycle with a five-speed gearbox, the Platina H-Gear is available at a more affordable price tag than the CD 110 Dream. The five-speed transmission aims to make cruising on the highway a smoother affair. The motorcycle comes standard with a front disc brake. Engine specifications include a 115.45cc, single-cylinder motor that is tuned to produce 8.3bhp at 7,000rpm and 9.81Nm at 5,000rpm.
TVS Motor Company’s 110cc motorcycle, the Radeon is available at a lower price tag than the Honda CD 110 Dream. The Radeon is offered in three variants – Standard, Commuter Bike of the Year – Drum and Commuter Bike of the Year – Disc. The prices range from Rs 58,992 to Rs 64,992. The commuter motorcycle from the Hosur-based two-wheeler maker uses a BS6-compliant, 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 8.08bhp at 7,350rpm and 8.7Nm at 4,500rpm.
TVS Motor Company’s highest selling scooter, the Jupiter also competes in the same price range. The scooter is available from Rs 62,062 onwards. The 109.7cc, single-cylinder, BS6-compliant engine on the Jupiter is tuned to produce 7.3bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.4Nm at 5,500rpm. The feature list on the Jupiter includes an LED headlight and a 21-litre under-seat storage space.
Honda’s highest-selling model, the Activa 6G is available from Rs 64,464. The latest iteration of the Activa gets telescopic front forks that have resulted in improved ride quality over its predecessor. The scooter also benefits from features such as engine start/stop switch, external fuel filler cap and a silent starter with ACG. The scooter uses a fuel injection-equipped 109.51cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 7.6bhp at 8,000rpm and 8.79Nm at 5,250rpm.
