Honda unveiled the CBR 300R at the 2013 EICMA event in Italy last year. The bike was due to go on sale in the UK in March this year; however, Honda has just announced that it has delayed the production of this new model by nine months.
According to a Honda spokesperson, the CBR 300R will now go on sale in the UK by end of this year. The reason for delay is not out yet although Honda is expected to give out full details in a couple of weeks’ time.
Powered by a 286cc, single cylinder fuel injected engine, the CBR 300R is not only more powerful than the CBR 250R but also lighter by around 7kg. The bike churns out around 30bhp as against 39bhp produced by its arch rival – the Kawasaki Ninja 300. The CBR, however, will be less expensive than the Ninja when launched sometime during the year-end.
