- Vehicles recalled over suspected quality issue the rear cushion
- Affects scooters manufactured between 14 to 25 February 2020
- Faulty parts will be replaced free of cost
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have voluntarily recalled the Dio, Activa 125 and the Activa 6G manufactured between 14 to 25 February 2020. The company stated in an announcement that it suspects quality issue in the rear cushion, which may result in oil leakage and vehicle imbalance.
The recall campaign will start in mid-March 2020. The company will check and replace the suspected part i.e. the rear cushion in this case. The defective lot will be replaced with a new unit free of cost irrespective of warranty status.
Dealers will notify the customers via call/e-mail/SMS for inspection of their vehicle. Owners can also check if their vehicle is affected by submitting their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the company’s website.
This is the second voluntary recall for the BS6 Activa 125. Previously, the company had issued a recall for the Activa 125 over cooling fan cover and oil gauge issues.
