- Honda Dio H-Smart launch in pipeline
- Will get additional features
- Would be priced over 72,626
Honda is looking to add a new update to its line-up in the form of the Dio H-Smart. This would be the third model after it launched the Activa and Activa 125 H-Smart in India recently.
Now, the update would bring more usability to the Dio with the introduction of new features. This would include keyless function and alloy wheels too. The scooter will also come with a SmartFind feature that flashes all indicators with the touch of a button. It also will feature the SmartStart which can start the scooter just with a switch on where the key slot is usually.
In addition to that, the SmartUnlock feature lets you unlock the handlebar, fuel filler cap and underseat storage. The Honda Dio would also come with a SmartSafe feature shuts off the keyless function by locking the scooter for aiding safety. However, the Dio remains unchanged otherwise. It comes powered by a 109cc, single-cylinder that churns out 7.8bhp and 9Nm.
As for pricing, the Honda H-Smart would be the most expensive of the lot. For reference, the base variant is priced at Rs 68,625 while the DLX variant costs Rs 72,626, ex-showroom. But despite being priced at a premium over the other two variants, the Dio H-Smart would be the most affordable scooter in Honda’s H-Smart range.
