- Honda Dio Repsol edition launched
- Demands a premium of Rs 2,500 over the deluxe model
- Remains unchanged in terms of hardware and features
Honda has launched the Repsol limited edition version of its 110cc scooter, the Dio, in India. This variant has been priced at Rs 69,757 (Gurgaon, Haryana) which is a premium of Rs 2,500 over the deluxe variant. For the extra cost, it comes sporting swanky graphics inspired by Repsol Honda racing team along with orange-coloured alloy wheels.
Besides the fancier sticker job, the Respol edition of the Dio remains identical to the standard and deluxe trims of the scooter. The BS6 model of the Dio was launched in February this, with multiple changes over its BS4 counterpart. Firstly, the design has been redone to look sportier with sharper-looking headlamp section and more angular front apron and rear panels. The feature list is also longer with things like a silent starter, external fuel filler cap, front pocket and DC LED headlamp. Moreover, the instrument cluster shows additional data now.
Hardware changes in the BS6 Dio over the BS4 iteration come in the form of a larger 12-inch wheel and telescopic forks at the front. Meanwhile, the rear continues to incorporate a 10-inch unit with a monoshock. Powering the scooter is a 109.19cc, fuel-injected motor which churns out 7.65bhp at 8,000rpm and 9Nm at 4,750rpm. It gets a 5.3-litre fuel tank while the kerb weight stands at 105kg.
