Honda has discontinued the CB Unicorn Dazzler from the Indian market. The CB Dazzler is still listed on the Honda India wedsite, but the officials confirmed that model is not available through dealers and the CB Trigger has replaced the same with a very similar pricing.
Although Honda did not disclose the reason for discontinuation, we think that lack of sales is solely responsible for this step. The CB Unicorn Dazzler was launched in May 2010 after previewing it at the 2010 Auto Expo. The motorcycle was powered by a 149cc air cooled engine that develops 14bhp of power at 6500rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The company claimed the motorcycle delivered a fuel efficiency of 60kmpl and was priced at Rs 66,740 ex-showroom Delhi (last price before it was discontinued).
The Japanese maker has priced the CB Trigger at almost the same price as the CB Unicorn Dazzler, but we need to wait and watch if the CB Trigger will make a big difference to the company’s sales chart.
