Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has established a new business vertical for globally exporting products to some of the most advanced two-wheeler markets of the world. The new vertical will function at Honda’s existing Manesar facility where it will be work on SEDPQ (Sales, Engineering, Development, Purchasing and Quality).
The main objective of the new business plan is to make Honda India the global hub for two-wheeler exports. To efficiently execute this, Honda will harness the strength of over 100 associates across different functions of the business. It will also need to make the brand’s import-export sales side work concertedly with various sections of the business like purchase, development, homologations, manufacturing and logistics.
Honda India had started exporting two-wheelers in 2001 with its most successful product, the Activa. At present, the brand exports its offerings to 35 different markets across Europe, Central and Latin America, Middle East, South-East Asia, Japan and SAARC nations. Through the new vertical, Honda will be exporting all the products available in its India portfolio, starting from the Activa 6G to the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.
