- Recalled over the faulty fastening bolt in the engine
- Could break and cause engine stoppage
- Replacement for the said bolt will be done free of cost
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has issued a recall for its flagship touring motorcycle, the Gold Wing Tour. The bikes manufactured between 2018 and 2021 were equipped with a faulty fastening bolt in the primary drive gear, which could break, causing the engine to stall.
To tackle the issue, Honda has announced a recall of the Gold Wing Tour and will replace the bolt for free. This recall will be free of cost irrespective of the bike's warranty status. The process will commence in the third week of December at BigWing dealerships across India.
The brand will contact owners via call, mail, or even SMS to inspect their Honda Gold Wing Tour. However, owners can pro-actively verify this by visiting the official website and entering their Vehicle Identification Number. So, if you own a Honda Gold Wing Tour, we recommend you do the same as a precautionary measure.
