- Goldwing recalled over stalling issues
- Issue with ignition timing program
- 1740 MT models affected
Honda has recalled its famous touring motorcycle – the Goldwing over stalling issues. This recall has affected over 1700 motorcycles in the US.
According to the company, the motorcycle stalls due to an improper ignition timing program. This incorrect program affects the timing if the clutch lever is pulled within a specific range while the transmission is in a second or higher gear with a close throttle.
A total of 1740 units of the GoldWing are affected and this issue is limited only to the manual transmission model. The DCT model remains unaffected. To fix this problem, Honda dealers will update the ECU of the bike and this will be done free of charge.
