- Goldwing Tour gets rear-facing radar
- Honda had filed patent for front radar
- Likely to be launched next year
Honda is working on a rear-facing radar system for its mothership – the Goldwing Tour. Previously, the company had filed patents for front-facing radar system
According to the leaked patent pictures, this rear-facing radar system is installed on the top-box which makes us believe that this system will only be available on the Tour version and not on the bagger. The sensors on the rear radar system keeps an eye on the traffic behind the bike and warns the riders through display screen or rear view mirror. The front system on the other hand gets adaptive cruise which operates the bike in traffic conditions without the need to touch the throttle or brake.
Honda is likely to bring this safety system to Goldwing Tour sometime next year and when it happens, it will be a part of very few motorcycles that will be providing such advanced systems.
