Honda has updated its scooter portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant Grazia 125. The latest iteration of the 125cc scooter is available in two variants – Standard (Rs 73,912) and Deluxe (Rs 80,978). The BS6-compliant 124cc, single-cylinder engine is tuned to produce 8.14bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 10.3Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. TVS Ntorq 125 (Rs 66,885 – Rs 73,365)
TVS Motor Company’s sporty 125cc scooter, the Ntorq 125 is available from Rs 66,885. The TVS scooter packs premium features such as LED headlight with DRLs, Bluetooth connectivity and a stylish design that aims to attract young buyers. Apart from carrying more features, the Ntorq 125 also packs higher power and torque output than the newly launched Grazia BS6. The 124.8cc engine on the TVS Ntorq 125 is tuned to produce 9.1bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.5Nm at 5,500rpm.
Honda Activa 125 (Rs 68,042 – Rs 75,042)
Buyers looking for a family-oriented 125cc scooter can check out the Honda Activa 125. The 125cc variant of the Activa features a subtle styling than the Grazia 125 BS6. Similar to its sporty sibling, the Activa 125 boasts of a LED headlight setup. In terms of performance, the Activa 125 and the Grazia BS6 share the same engine. The 124cc, single-cylinder motor produces 8.14bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 10.3Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm.
Suzuki Access 125 (Rs 68,800 – Rs 71,700)
The Suzuki Access 125 features a retro-design that looks more appealing than most of its rivals. The BS6-upgrade brought additional features such as LED headlight, longer seat, more under-seat storage and an external fuel-filler cap to the Access 125. The 124cc engine on the Suzuki Access 125 BS6 makes 8.6bhp of power at 6,750rpm and 10Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.
Hero Maestro Edge 125 (Rs 69,250 – Rs 70,650)
Similar to the Honda Grazia 125, the Hero Maestro Edge 125 aims to attract young buyers, and thus it features a modern design. However, unlike its rivals listed above, the Maestro Edge 125 does not get an LED headlight setup. Instead, it uses a conventional, halogen light at the front. In terms of performance, the 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine on the Maestro Edge 125 is tuned to deliver 9bhp of maximum power at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.
Bajaj Pulsar 125 (Rs 70,995 – Rs 79,091)
Bajaj Auto’s entry-level Pulsar series, the Pulsar 125 competes in the same price range as the Honda Grazia 125 BS6. The 125cc motorcycle from the Indian two-wheeler brand is available in three variants – Drum, Disc and Split Seat. The 124.4cc, single-cylinder engine on the Pulsar 125 range is tuned to deliver 11.6bhp at 8,500rpm and 10.8Nm at 6,500rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
