Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has teased the upcoming, BS6-compliant Grazia scooter ahead of its launch. The teaser video reveals various features that the latest iteration of the 125cc scooter will receive. Here we tell you what to expect from the upcoming Honda Grazia BS6.
Looks
The updated model will receive a few styling tweaks over its predecessor. While the front fascia will retain a dual-tone finish and an LED headlight, the BS6-compliant scooter will get a new LED DRL. The split-style LED DRL will enhance the premium look of the Grazia. Styling upgrades also include a carbon-fibre texture around the instrument cluster to enhance the sporty looks of the scooter. Apart from the addition of the new DRL and a few styling tweaks, the Grazia BS6 is not likely to receive a major cosmetic makeover.
Features
The BS6-compliant Grazia, similar to its predecessor, will feature an LED headlight at the front. The cockpit will also retain a similar design for the instrument cluster, although the information displayed on the screen will receive a few upgrades. The primary display on the BS6 model, for example, will feature a side-stand warning. The secondary display, on the other hand, will now use a blue backlight instead of the orange backlight on the BS4-compliant scooter. The secondary display will also show information about the available range.
Engine
The upcoming Grazia BS6 will share its 124cc engine with the Activa 125 BS6. The motor is tuned to produce 8.1bhp of power at 6,500rpm and 10.3Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm on the Activa 125 BS6, and we expect to see similar numbers on the Grazia BS6. The BS4 model, for reference, delivered 8.52bhp and 10.54Nm.
Hardware
The hardware on the Grazia BS6 will most likely be similar to its predecessor. Thus, the shock absorption tasks will be handled by telescopic forks at the front and a spring-loaded hydraulic type suspension at the back. The braking department will include drum brakes on both wheels while a front disc will be available on the premium variant. The scooter will ride on 12-inch front/10-inch rear wheels.
Price
The updated model will command a premium over its predecessor, and we expect the Honda Grazia BS6 to arrive at an Rs 8,000-10,000 higher price tag than its BS4 iteration. The old model, for reference, was priced in the Rs 62,025 (Standard) to Rs 66,397 (Deluxe) range.
