Honda might enjoy a 59 per cent market share in the scooter segment, but it still feels that there is some scope for improvement. Earlier today, the company launched the Grazia in the Indian market to widen its audience base. Based on the Activa 125, the Grazia has been styled to look like a maxi scooter, which should make it a hit among the urban audience. Here is a detailed photo gallery of the Honda Grazia –
The Grazia’s trendy design language looks like a hybrid of the Aviator and the Dio. The headlamp is mounted on the front apron along with the turn indicators.
The instrument console consists of two digital displays, which integrate speedometer, tachometer, clock, fuel gauge, trip meter and odometer.
The Grazia gets several utilitarian touches like a front glove box, optional 12v power socket and the seat unlock switch near the ignition key slot.
Powering the Grazia is a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering 8.5bhp and 10.5Nm of torque through a CVT transmission.
It rides on a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear wheel, shod with tubeless tyres. Suspension setup consists of telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock.
While the base variant of the Grazia gets steel wheels, the Alloy and Deluxe variants are offered with alloy wheels.
The base and Alloy variants get 130mm front drum brakes, while Deluxe gets a 190mm front disc brake. A 130mm rear drum brake and CBS is common among all three variants.
Honda is also offering a slew of optional accessories with the Grazia, like a steel crash guard, front storage compartment and 12v power outlet.
