The Honda Grazia seems to have hit the right chord with the Indian audience. In less than three months of its launch, the Japanese manufacturer has sold over 50,000 units of the scooter.
With this, the Grazia is now one of the top 10 scooters sold in India. While Honda has had the conservative-looking Activa 125 in its line-up for quite some time, the Grazia was introduced in November 2017 as a sportier offering targeted at the youth. Its modern looks and the loaded features list has turned out to be the Grazia’s biggest advantage. It is powered by a 125cc engine, which delivers 8.5bhp and 10.5Nm of torque.
While there are no other 125cc maxi-scooters in the Indian market, the Grazia does share the market space with the Suzuki Access 125. In December, Honda sold over 19,000 units of the Grazia, during which Suzuki sold around 27,000 units of the Access 125. We recently pitted these two scooters against each other for a comparison test, which turned out to be one of the closely-fought battles that we have had on BikeWale.
