Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has organised 'Revfest' on August 4 this year. The manufacturer might launch the much awaited Honda CBR650F motorcycle at the event.
The CBR650F is a tourer motorcycle that features Honda's 650cc inline-four engine and their traditional superbike styling. The bike gets a new aluminium swing arm, preload adjustable rear shock and clip on handlebars. ABS comes as a standard fitment due to European regulations and the display console is digital with white backlight. The bike features a pair of 320mm discs with traditional two-piston calipers in the front.
The Honda CBR650F is powered by a 650cc inline-four mill that churns out 87bhp of power at 11,000rpm and 63Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. The powerplant comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and the motor is setup to support low and medium engine speeds offering everyday usability and a good balance of performance and fuel economy.
HMSI had showcased the CBR650F motorcycle at the 2014 Auto Expo and announced plans of bringing the motorcycle for the Indian market. It will be assembled in India with a localisation content of five per cent. The motorcycle will compete with the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Benelli TNT600 GT when launched in our country.
