- Both models recalled for faulty rear brake light switch and bank angle sensor
- Bikes manufactured between October 2020 and January 2023 affected
- Free replacement to be done irrespective of the warranty status
Honda India has announced a voluntary recall for the Hness CB350 and the CB350RS. Both models have been equipped with faulty rear stop light switch and the repair will be done free of cost at Honda BigWing dealerships, irrespective of the warranty.
Honda says the bikes manufactured between October 2020 and January 2023 are affected. Customers can book an appointment for the same and can get their bike’s rear light switch replaced. The faulty switch is a result of an improper process being followed to manufacture the rubber parts of the rear stop light switch. This may lead to the development of cracks and cause water entry and corrosion inside the switch, leading the light to malfunction.
The process will commence in the second week of December 2023, which is just a few days from now. So, if your Honda Hness CB350 or the CB350RS has been manufactured during the aforementioned period, we recommend that you visit the nearest BigWing dealership for the same.
Apart from that, the brand has also issued a recall for a faulty bank angle sensor. Here, it was observed that a gap might occur in sensor body sealing because of an inappropriate moulding procedure of sensor housing. This could cause water entry inside the bank angle sensor and make it malfunction. Moreover, the vehicle could also stall in a worse situation. Units manufactured between October 2020 to December 2021 are affected by this.
