Honda 2Wheelers India has updated its portfolio with the launch of a new premium product, the Hornet 2.0. The motorcycle, which will rival the Hero Xtreme 200R, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, has been priced at Rs 1,26,345 (ex-showroom Gurugram). The Honda product, unlike its rivals, packs a slightly premium spec-sheet that comprises of upside-down forks at the front.
The new Hornet 2.0 packs a naked roadster look that is complemented by features like LED lighting, LCD instrument cluster, muscular fuel tank, step-up saddle and a short exhaust muffler. It also features a rectangular-shaped, blue backlit LCD display and a hazard light switch. The motorcycle is available in four colours – Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
The suspension setup on the motorcycle includes upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back. The anchoring power comes from petal-type disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net includes single-channel ABS. The Hornet 2.0 uses a 184cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor that produces 16.1Nm of peak torque.
The motorcycle is backed by a three-year warranty as standard while an additional three-year extension can be bought separately.
