- Gets a fresh set of decals
- Remains unchanged mechanically
Honda’s Chinese partner, Sundiro Honda, has introduced the 2023 edition of the CBF190R in its home country. The motorcycle has just received visual updates for the next year while retaining the same mechanicals which are similar to the Horner 2.0 sold in India.
The 2023 CBF190R boasts a swanky set of red and blue graphics adorning the white body panels. These decals accentuate the aggressive styling of the CBF which is perhaps the sportiest-looking motorcycle in this class. From the front to the rear, all the body panels are neatly designed with sharp cuts and creases. However, it’s pretty vanilla in terms of features with single-channel ABS, LED lighting, and an LCD console which misses out on Bluetooth connectivity.
The CBF190R rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by golden USD forks and a monoshock. Bringing it to a halt is a petal-type single disc at both ends. The 184.4cc, air-cooled engine, meanwhile, is the same unit which does duty on the Hornet 2.0 but it’s tuned slightly differently. It churns out around 17bhp at 8,000rpm and 16.3Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. Moreover, the bike is pretty light with a kerb weight of 142kg.
